My wife's first campaign and my multitude of characters
richardm 7/8/2010

So my wife is DMing her first campaign tonight, I'm on my 4th character.  My 1st died, my second I wasn't happy with how he interacted with the campaign, my 3rd lasted two sessions, and the 2nd session wasn't very long.

We had two players not show up, a controller and a striker, so we only had a fighter, a rogue, a sorcerer, and me, a paladin/Rune Priest hybrid.  My wife made the game "easier" by removing a soldier and adding another controller, a ghost that dominates.  The module's ghosts were elemental in nature, yet had no vulnerabilities, so my radiant/fire attacks had no significant effect on insubstantial cold undead spirits. :/

3 dominating creatures, 4 players.  We had no chance.  I think a good rule of thumb is no more dominating creatures than maybe 1/3.  :/

So my last character I had decided with 6 players I didn't need to be a pure healer (he was a dwarf shaman, an ultra healer), so I went hybrid paladin to add some more "oomph" to my character.  And the one round I lasted before getting dominated the rest of the battle, I rocked.  Then I died. :/

So another player decided to be a pure healer, so I decided to go monk this time.  I had looked through my minis and saw I had an awesome githzerai female monk, so thats what I'm playing.

Yay, striker, monk, cool mini.  Should be fun.
