The world is filled with evil, there is no doubt. Of course, nothing is black-and-white. Many less-than-scrupulous people would genuinely enjoy a much better and happier life if they gave up their dark ways. They just don't realize it, bless their little hearts.

That's where Ezekiel comes in.

A hard man, Ezekiel Ardham is uncompromising in his faith to St. Cuthbert. He believes that it is his duty to rid the world of evil, one way or another. Some evil has no option but to be eliminated, but he feels that others deserve a chance at redemption. The thing is, those people just don't know what's good for them, and it usually takes a few cracks on the head to convince them that there's a better way. And so, Ezekiel cracks heads for the greater good as a Chapeaux of St. Cuthbert.

Ezekiel isn't quite as personable as other clerics and paladins are, but he believes his heart is in the right place. His gruff exterior hides a rather forgiving side to him, and he'll often avoid death if it's at all possible. Despite having paladin-like views to his faith, his true aim is is turning people away from evil and convert them to good rather than executing them without question. Those who have traveled with him have certainly appreciated these tendencies, considering all the tales of uncompromising clergymen demanding that no negotiations be made with evil despite being outnumbered ten-to-one. Still, it's his ultimate goal to become a Votarie of St. Cuthbert, and every day he trains himself towards that aspiration (read: Prestige Paladin class). There are always some evils that have no chance of redemption, after all.

Ezekiel's appearance is suitably intimidating for his chosen profession. He's a solid man, standing around six feet tall. Everything about him strikes the casual observer as militant and practical. He routinely shaves his paté bare each day, and years of this practice has left his head as evenly tanned as the rest of him. The only hair he sports on his head is a small beard that lines his jawline and wraps around his mouth. His clothes and tabard are pristine and free of creases, but one look tells you that they have not always been that way. It's obvious from the worn edges and faded colors that he has gone through thick and thin, and won't shy away from going a second time.

Currently, Ezekiel is acting as a Missionary from his church, and he's chosen to travel to the infamous smuggler's isle Ja'det in the hopes of showing some of the people there the light.
