Re: Nova's Keep on the Shadowfell 4e Game (Part 1)

Ooc: Well, there's no way I can know what I plan to do before it's actually my turn for these characters. The Rogue always has to try and get combat advantage either by flanking or something else and the Wizard has to try and hit everybody with an area effect spell. So basically I *need* to know where everybody is. :P Anyways, here's my initiative.

    Bragon Initiative:

    [dice]1d20+3[/dice]

    Aabrax Initiative:

    [dice]1d20+5[/dice]

Ok, apparently that didn't work.... *sighs and loads up IE*

    Braon Initiative:

    23

    Aabrax Initiative:

    7

    Aaraba: Firefox.

Shaggy kills the first of the creatures: That would be the dark green one with the axe (Should I start placing dice beside them so I have number references?)

Re: Nova's Keep on the Shadowfell 4e Game (Part 1)

Ok, your foes attack, two rush Shaggy and swing there spears at him before stepping back (move, attack, use "Shifty" trait). One moves up and throws his spear at Shaggy, and the last one moves towards the less fearsome look members of the party at throws his spear at Bragon.

    Attacks:
    Shaggy (melee):
    6
    13

    Javalin: 5 --Miss
    ------

    Bragon: 12 -Miss

    OOCBleh, that sucked.

After this several larger, more fearsome looking creatures leap out from behind rocks and attack. One small reptiailan figure with rust-coloured scales, wearing leather armor and carring a sling with three small ceramic glboes hung froma bandolier across its chest. And two red-scaled reptilians eachcarrying a short sword and using what looks like a dragon scale as a shield. The slinger fires one of its orbs at Shaggy:
9 --GRAH. A thick glob flies past Shaggy and crashes in the bushes. It then attempts to climb on the bolder it is near for a better vantage point: 18 (Sucess)

Finally the two large creatures move up to Shaggy and attack where there short swords. Shaggy: You notice they work very well as a team, leading you into each others attacks:

    Attk1: 26
    Dmg1: 4

    Attk2: 19
    Dmg2: 4

OOC: Finally some hits! Will post map very soon

armydeone's unnamed character: You receive a letter from an acquaintance of yours, the wife of a very good friend of yours from your stint in the army fighting the norther alliance (I can change this if you dislike your chracter having been in the army, its just thats where most warlords learn their trade). The letter reads:

    "Dear <name>

I have an urgent problem with Wilhelm* and don't know who else to turn to. Please come to 221B Baker Street as soon as possible

    --
    Hildegard Mariendorf

*your freinds name. He was a battle wizard in the army and somewhat of a mentor to you, even after you both left the army.

OOC: I've also posted up some info on the campaign world in the other thread.

Re: Nova's Keep on the Shadowfell 4e Game (Part 1)

Ooc:  Firefox 3 is the reason I installed Opera.  It uses up way too much ram.  I'm currently using a piece of crap P3 500 mhz with only 192 megs of ram as my other computer fried a while back.  FF3 uses at least 128 on its own.  When FF3 is running my computer slows to a crawl. I might reinstall FF2 at some point but Opera works great and is faster so..... *shrug*.  Besides, I thought you were friends with the Admins here.  They'll probably want to know if their site has problems in different browsers.  Installing a different one really isn't the solution.  Anyways, back to the battle:

Aabrax is going to cast scorching burst at that miniature in the red cloak.  (Assuming that's one of the monsters?  Hard to tell from this angle.)  It's an Area Burst 1 so it will hit those 3 monsters surrounding it as well. (the ones with the green dice.)

    Aabrax's Scorching Burst

    Intelligence vs Reflex:

    Middle Monster Attack Roll: 15

    Green Mini Attack Roll: 21

2 guys hugging Mini Attack: 22

    Blue Troll Monster Mini: 22

    Damage for Everybody: 7

After attacking Aabrax would like to move as far away from everybody as he can.  (He can move 6 squares.)

    Bragon's attack to follow shortly.

    15

    If Hits:

    7

and the target is Dazed until the end of Bragon's next turn.

My Wizard was supposed to run as far away from everybody as possible after his attack. Sad  From the pic at the end of the round it looks like you forgot to move him.  He might still have been in range of that minion but staying still while the monsters close in around him isn't what my squishy Wizard specializes in.  Big Smile  Please get him away from those other guys!  hehe  He would have moved up a bunch of spaces (6) based on that photo.

Re: Nova's Keep on the Shadowfell 4e Game (Part 1)

Errg, good point. I missed that sorry. I'll fix that tommorow, Star takes the dammage.

Also Grump, your using basic attacks when your at-will powers are much more powerful, you should have a look at them.
