Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

The long stone hall ends in a stone chamber furnished only with cracked, moldering tables on which lie rusted implements of iron. Rain falls
into the middle of the room from a shaft in the ceiling that must run all the way to the top of the tor. From the bottom of the shaft dangles a rope,
swinging slightly. A drain in the center of the floor allows the water to escape, but old, dark stains suggest that it was used to carry away other
    fluids long ago.

OOCSorry There's only the one doorway, the second exit is the shaft in the ceiling.
Does anyone wish to climb the rope? It's only a DC 15 climb :D
Do you want to search the bodies of the hobgoblins?

Jack doesn't seem interested in the bodies.  Instead he checks out the drain.  (How large is it?  Is it slimy and/or smelly?  Does it contain vermin?)

Sorry to say this, but because of a more busy life I no longer have time for these forums, so don't expect to see me again. What happens to my character is up to you Schotty.

Proud creator of the only stickied thread on these forums.

OOCSee you around TOG. It's a shame that you're going. The forums will be and are quieter without you here :(

Jack looks at the drain and sees it is a drain that is about 10 cms in diameter and is filled with smelly water. No vermin and is really, very disinteresting (ie, the module doesn't say anything about it)

    OOCWho is still about??

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

Eldan and Breslan search the bodies and find 16 gold on the bodies and a well made heavy leather kidney belt with brass studs and large buckles on both sides.

You exit the room to find yourselves in a short corridor which then splits into two directions to the North you see a room with a stone table dominating the middle of the room and you see a corridor heading east ending in a wooden door.

Which way do you chose? Is there anything you wish to do before leaving the room??? (OOC: Nudge, Nudge, wink wink Healing may be required.)

I'll ask around if anyone wants to play, we're almost at the end of the 1st module which is the warm up to the main adventure. (Essentially this was to get the characters from level 1 to level 2.)

Jack heals Brelsan and Romlu, magically closing wounds and stopping bleeding.

Brelsan for 2 HP. (1x Cure Light Wounds)
Romlu for 3 HP. (3x Cure Minor Wounds)

Jack: "I will not be able to do any more magic today.  I'll stay out of melee and use my sling, because I'm still wounded."

Ok, The party go through the door way and get to a fork in the tunnel, do you go East or North.
To the east you see a wooden doorway about 45 ft down the path and to the north you see a doorway about 10ft down the path.

Jack puts his ear to the door, to hear if there's anything inside. 18

If he hears nothing, he looks through the keyhole. 6

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

Unfortunately, you see nothing and hear nothing.

As you listen at the door a cold wind chills your spine and you briefly quiver as it runs up your back.
You only hope that this isn't a bad omen.

OOCI just put it in as flavour and to make it a better story... The module says nothing about it but it sounds better :D

Who opens the door and what order is everyone going into the room in?
