Did you ever end up getting a 1.1 version, and was it better?

Well, this kind of came out of nowhere... :)

Yes, I got Shock: 1.1 and while it was, obviously, mostly the same, several of the serious editing errors were corrected.  It's been a while since I read it last, but I believe that the instructions were a bit more clear in parts now as well.

I'm not sure, but I think Shock: might make a decent forum game, since much of it is pretty "freeform" between the rules engagements (and the system itself is mechanically simple).

EDIT: I take that back.  There are often scenes with just two players.  While other players can enjoy watching the roleplaying, and there's even a way for them to participate mechanically, that doesn't hold up as well in a PBF setting.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, that it'd be good for forum games.

Did you see that I changed messengers to my webcomic.net one? I haven't seen you online today...

I haven't been online all day today.  Went in early, didn't go home for lunch.
