(Actually, the first hit DID finish it, but you din't write 'If I've got any attacks left when the first zombie collapses, I'll use the rest on the other one. I can be very evil once in a while.. BTW, I encountercalculated this encounter in the d20srd and got it to 'unbeatable' :P. For helpful perposes, I'll asume you're using your spare attacks on the other one.)

Menefer manages to down both zombies this time, but two others emmediately take thier spaces. Thier clumsy attacks are not enough to beat Menefer's relfexes, though.
Menefer senses the dwarf stirring behind him..

OOC: Meh, I thought that was assumed (since it's online, I can't tell you right away after killing one). Oh well, I've downed five of them so far, and only taken 2 points of damage. And it's made much easier by being able to take them on two at a time. Otherwise, I'd be screwed, though I seem to be having a bit of luck. And I'm just good.

IC:

Menefer manages a grim smile. He is a bit worried about the dwarf stiring behind him, and risks a glance backward to check on him before resuming his attacks, wirling his blades through the rightmost zombie and then into the next one if it falls.

Slightly distracted, Menefer misses the first attack, then, as though ashamed of his own bad performance, he chops off the righthand zombie's head and right arm. It falls with a nasty thump of dead meat. The left-hand zombie misses its attack, then another charges to take the empty space. By now, the righthand space is slippery with rotten meat and intervals and such (slippery spot). The new zombie manages to stay upright, but misses menefer.

The dwarf is certainly alive. His ruddy cheeks (that were out of the pool of blood) give him away.

Menefer is glad that the dwarf does not seem to be another undead, though if he can count on him for help or not, Menefer is not sure. He countinues his attacks, this time starting with the left hand zombie.

Menefer hits the zombie, hacking its leg off, then misses a blow that nonetheless disbalances it when it tries to put weight on the missing leg. That puts in Menefer's last blow to be killing. The righthand zombie misses, and the one taking the lafthand one's space misses too.

Smiling tightly as he takes out yet another zombie, Menefer does not let up with his blows, changing his focus to the right hand zombie this time.

Since it's standing in a very slippery spot, Menefer hits the righthand zombie two times and manages to down it. He turns to the lefthand one, but misses. Behind him, the dwarf sits up. (That's you, Nova!) The lefthand zombie misses Menefer and another one closes in to get at him, but slips in the greasy, slimy, rotten-meat spot and falls.

OOC: This encounter shows how a single, clever player with a 1st level character (and some nice rolls) can win an ECL 5 encounter.

Taking advantage of the zombie's fall, Menefer unleashes his full fury upon it.

Menefer finishes zombie on the ground, but misses the other one.


Waiting for Nova. We'd better slow this down a bit to let him get into the tempo.

Voraths staggers to his feet, leaning on one of the bookshelfs heavaly. He raises one hand and coughs out an incantation in dwarven. He exents his open palm towards a nearest unigured zombie and a whirling orb of flame shoots from it and flys past Menefer at the zombie.
