"Uhm.. Dunno?" the sword says, uncertain for the first time.

Soren will intuit direction and depth and is if he can work out where the different tunnels lead.

He will probably suggest that they use a piton to nail into the wall to show which one's they have been down and then suggests that they take the first one on the left. (Depending on what he thinks of the different tunnels.)

The tunnels go in mentioned directions and are formed by nature.
    That's all Soren knows.

You go down for some time, and at some point, the tunnel slowly widens into a large cavern. At the floor lies a black cloack.

Ronath and Soren will listen to hear anything and look around to see what they can spot.

Once they have seen and heard all they can, they will look around the cavern but won't approach the cloak.
    Soren: Spot:  16
    Soren Listen: 13

    Ronath Spot: 13
    Ronath Listen: 15

They also look to the sword and ask it to investigate the cloak

Mikelo lets go of the sword so it can float over and look at the cloak.

Re: Monkey Mayhem: Secrets of the Underdark

"Oh sure, give me the investigating jobs, 'cause I'm pointy!" the sword grumbles as it floats toward the cloack and prods it with the tip. Nothing happens.
"Come on, it's just a cloack. What'd it do? Fold at you?"

"It can never hurt to be to careful, there are monsters shaped like cloaks that jump up, strangle and devour their prey. At least thats what I've heard." Mikelo says to the sword while retrieving it.

Re: Monkey Mayhem: Secrets of the Underdark

As Mikelo reaches for the sword's hilt and says the part about monsters that look like cloaks jump up and strangle thier prey, the cloak ripples to life and floats into the air! The air ripples, and there seems to be not one beast in the air, but five, all of which quickly wrap themselves around Mikelo!

[Mikelo rolls for grapple and initiative, everyone else roll for initiative]

    Sword: 22
    Cloaker: 8 (damn 1's!)
Cloaker grapple: 16 (I swear, this cloaker has the worst diceluck ever!)

Re: Monkey Mayhem: Secrets of the Underdark

    Grapple: D20+Str+Base Attack Bonus.
And I've never head of flat-footed init in the rulebooks, so it isn't :P

Mikelo manages to keep the cloaker's mouth away from him, and the sword starts hacking at the monster, cutting a large flap of hide from it, and accidently strike Mikelo in the side for 10 damage.

Ronath and Mikelo are next. Mikelo can attempt to get the cloaker of him this turn.

    KK Oposed Grapple Check.  10

"OW! Aim before you swing yourself!" Mikelo shouts at the sword, trying to wiggle out of the cloaker.

Re: Monkey Mayhem: Secrets of the Underdark

[The DM screams in rage and agony and bangs the virtual dice table hard in an attempt to make the 1 he just rolled go away]

The cloaker starts rewrapping itself around Mikelo as he tries to escapes, but he seems to grab a very sensitive spot on it, and a strange, moaning giggle emerges from it as it lets go of him and slides onto the ground as if trying to look like a cloak again.
