    OOCSorry it's taken me a while... After an awesome see like that, I've been trying to think of a decent raise.

    Marcus looks at the Steward and says "As long as the townsfolk wish harm on the innocent, the Dogs will protect them. But the dogs will only protect the innocent. If the damned are walking on this earth, We will deliver them to the Host of Life to judge. (Raise: 4,3)

    OOCIt's not as good as the See but it works well enough.

    The Steward's hand wavers, and finally he lowers his gun and then drops himself heavily into a nearby chair, his head hung low.  His shoulders shake as he cries quietly. (GIVE)

    OOCSorry Art, It's been busy with work and I'm not sure how to proceed.

    Marcus looks at the steward and says" First, give me your pistol, I'll give it back to you when this is over and we have determined the truth." Afte rhe receives the pistol, "Thank you Steward, now let us go and see your grandmother."

    The Steward takes Brother Marcus upstairs to speak to his grandmother.  The conversation is difficult, as she knows very little english, and the Steward only knows a few words of the language of the Mountain People, but it doesn't take long for Marcus to be certain that she's not in league with demons.
     
    OOCNow you can be sure that she isn't calling on demons.  Though the characters might lie to you, I won't.  Essentially you entered a conflict of "Get her to tell the truth about her involvement with demons" and she GAVE right away.  You win, and she tells you the truth.  She doesn't consort with demons.

    The Dogs approach Constance's uncle, Brother Cadmus.  They try to tell him to lay off of the old lady, but he's as stubborn as they come.  The argument gets heated, and Cadmus throws a punch.  Several of his hands come to his aid, and they manage to put a hurtin' on the Dogs.  Eventually, Brother Marcus is forced to shoot Cadmus in the face.

    Things quiet down, and after the ceremony for Brother Cadmus's funeral, the Dogs ride out of town to their next destination.

    The End
