Interested in a little PBF game?

What the heck.  I don't know if anybody is even paying attention anymore, but I feel like running a little game.

In consideration of the medium, I'm planning a tightly focused situation and a rules-lite system, so it's mostly just roleplaying and story.  I'm thinking a "Fading Suns" space-opera setting, or perhaps revisisting my swashbuckling "World Sea" setting.  Because of the forums (and because it's just "better", IMO), this will be a "short form" game that doesn't drag on forever (or more likely, just die).

If anybody's interested, let me know and we can work out the details.

I'd be intersted post-24th, until them I'm a bit busy with exams. Toss me a reminder then and I'd be happy to join in.

Ok, so what kind of setting are we interested in?  Modern?  Fantasy?  Sci-fi?  Space Opera?  Horror?  Psychics?  Something else?

I want to paly a doppelganger that is half shadow dragon from the plane of shadow which has consumed an illith spawn to become a quasi-illithid psion/mage gestault character.  Hey it is just a game what do you have to lose?

Re: Interested in a little PBF game?

I'd be intersted in playing as I dought any summer job I find will be quite as time sucking as uni. However half-shadow dragons/doppleganers rub me  the wrong way....unless were playing a very odd setting indeed....

Are you framiliar with the post-cyberpunk genre? (Snow Crash being the most famouse work in that vein)? I think something like that would be pretty cool.

The other idea I've had would be a police in a modern fantasy setting. Think a less comidic MIB (at the start when there partolling and stoping intergalic weapons dealers and what not) but more serise and with elves instead of aliens. Not so much a dark detective setting but more of a police detective show type thing (Law and Order or something like that but with dwarfs selling leaf on streetcorners)

Finally I'm on a zombie kick right now. Zombie Survival guide type zombires. Prehapes we could do something with that.

Anyway thats my input, see anyting you like?

Oh, and as to what I have to lose? Just my sanity.

I might be interested.  Most my online role playing involved several diety PCs, but a change would be nice.

Re: Interested in a little PBF game?

    Ok, zombies it is, then.

You're people, trapped in a convenience store.  Zombies are outside, a couple people are dead, one lady is very pregnant, another guy is injured, and a few more aren't handling the stress very well.  Nobody knows what's going on.

So, who are you? (ex. Joe Smith)
What do you do? (ex. Salesman)
What are three of your personal strengths? (ex. Convincing, Quick-witted, Loves his Daughter)
What are three things you're good at? (ex. Sales, Math, Driving)
What is your one flaw? (ex. Stressed Out)
What important thing happened to you before you got here? (ex. His ex-wife, who thinks he's a lousy father, finally gave him a weekend with his daughter).

Once we find out who's here we can get started!

Hey, wow!  Spelling mistakes aside, that's a great character!  Very much in the spirit of things.

This game will be using the Story Engine, but more broadly.  I don't know how well it will work, but I'm feeling pretty confident, and your character is a great start. :)

Well, I'd hope for at least one other person...we could try messaging some of the people who had expressed interest in the game.
