8/25/2008 - No Swords Allowed for Mike!

Hey everyone, so earlier this afternoon I played someone who found me on this site over on Poxnora, Warsor.  Here is a screenshot after about 3 turns of battle.

See those demons!!  See the buff dark elf monk?!  The imp, the weird demon with arrows sticking out of it?
None of them are mine, see poor Ethan, Firk diplomat there in the bottom left, green with tentacles?  Yeah hes all alone, the blue spheres were members of his delegation.  And his name wasn't even really Ethan, because I don't have cool runes to rename my characters. :(

sigh...anyways, I'll rebuild, optimize, and try again soon! 

Until then, I went ahead and posted a new incentive on topwebcomics.com for everyone who votes.  This one is a mini comic I modified myself to use in the new site layout.  Which is nearly done, but yet really far from being done. :(

So many people emailed me to let me know that the buzz ad doesn't work anymore with the new site they have.  Well as many of you may know, I manage TWC as well as dndorks, and because I didn't want people to think I was cheating, I had been using buzz. 

Well I don't know the username/password to buzz anymore, since that was mostly Jenn's thing, and I decided I can trust myself to be fair (since we're on page 34) and not manipulate anything on TWC, so I've moved the banner over to TWC.  As part of the conversion, I put up an old incentive from years ago, I recommend checking it out, its pretty funny.  It "may" be up in the comic archives, its hard to tell over so many years, but I don't think so, I think the art was just waiting in the images folder on dndorks.  If I did cheat you guys out of an incentive by giving you one you could easily get to, let me know, I'll find another treat lost in our archives and put it up.

Just don't vote us past maybe rank 25 or so on TWC or people will think we're cheating. ;)

This is a nifty app where you create a little character who has adventures and sends you little tidbits, like journal entries or something from your character, its created by Wizards of the Coast who continues to flex their attempts to enter the modern age with more integration with the web.

Also, Episode 1 of Buffy Between the Lines Season 2 came out this week, its fantastic. This season is set after Buffy leaves town after sending Angel to hell, and already I can see myself integrating this season into my mental timeline of the series.  http://buffybetweenthelines.com/

Hey everyone, Jason's working on the new comic, but today you get to see a glimpse into Mike's replacement character for Mareg, Mareg.  No longer a race of unknown type, Mareg is now a shifter, 4th edition style.  Still a fighter, hes much more focused on defending his allies.  Hes tougher, has more options round to round, and can shift into a slightly more feral version of himself with regenerative abilities.

So I suck and didn't notice Jason sending the comic last night and was too busy playing Poxnora. :(  What can I say, I had worked all Saturday and all day Sunday, I wanted to relax a little, destroy my enemies with my firk warriors (go Firk!) and then go to sleep.  But as I was playing, Jason sent the comic and I didn't see it until it was already too late.

Regardless, I'll put the finishing touches on the comic and get it up tonight.  Then maybe I can decimate more with my mindbending army of doom, affectionately called my "Firk You!" battlegroup. ;)

Or continue my trend of Win - Lose Win Lose.  I'm 3 to 3 so far in my ranked play, I guess it could be worse. ;)
