I kind of thought the same thing. :P

It is obviously Venger. First the module is called "Venger's Revenge" and second the Lisa did not even know Ethan was going to show up let alone what character he plays and lastly while Ethan himself is evil and he playes out of character all the time his character is still a paladin

Well, that shows Dan doesn't need min-maxing to kick butt. And the 12 Charisma apparently gave him a decent intimidate check as well.

@WyteNite: I still wonder what that thing is. Any theories? My monster manual knowledge is lacking since I'm no DM.

I'm sorry WyteNite but I have to disagree, remember this is suppose to be a mid 70's to mid 80's module therefore this is the part were the intrepid heroes meet the big big bady and he gloats about how they are so insignificant and not worth his time and then leave them to be finished off my his lowly minions. And since the characters are all first level the appropriate minion encounter would be kobolds. I know this is metagaming thinking but really a lot of modules during that time frame were metagame created, you know as in even though it does not make a lot of real would sense for Venger to employ kobolds all the things he would employ would slaughter a first level party so kobolds. I will admit it could be the succubus I had not originally considered that but I still think it is Venger.
