"Tell your DM you'd like to do the laundry, ask him to describe the results. Repeat a few games until everyone in the party is letting you do their laundry. One day apologize for putting a red sock in the only female character's laundry or the paladin without laughing. From that point on whenever the DM introduces a new NPC, apologize again about the pink clothes just to make sure no one forgets it."

richardm 2/11/2010
Skill challenge Run Away! In addition to the comic, I thought I'd include a large version of the comic since Jason put so much detail into it.

RE:
To be fair, most skill challenges are more like this
Albert: "I use history to find a secret way out"
Melissa "Ok, I roll to assist"
Ethan "I roll to assist"
Mike "I roll to assist"
DM "I roll to assist"
Ok, you succeed, whats next? proceed as often as they can assist.
If you want a game thats anti-teamwork, try 1e or 2e, due to strong alignment choices it seemed there was always someone doing something nasty (aka stupid IMO) to their teammates or derailing the story and saying "Hey, I'm just roleplaying my alignment!" In my groups though I just made a point to either kill the villains hiding in our party and say I had to because I'm roleplaying my alignment(if I was a player) or stress to the right people that their alignment says they'd do something severe to the player acting in a thief or evil manner AND that there'd be no consequence from me as DM from them roleplaying their (usually good, but even a lawful person isn't going to handle the chaotic neutral guy robbing the party at every opportunity) alignment.
I've yet to see that in 4e, at least not much, since they don't have alignment as a crutch to be a jerk, though thus far half-elf players tend to be rather selfish and "me me me", though I think they're joking with what they say...or I hope they're joking... >_>

old grump
skill challenge
Snort. giggle, wipes coffee out of my mustache, hoo boy I always identified with the red skinned feller especially as a jock playing D&D with the nerds. Hack and slash then ask where are the bad guys. Even after 34 years my characters might not be as super charged as they used to was and the system has changed a few times I still gotta go with the hack'em first and ask question later guys as having the most fun.
There is currently no script for this comic.
