Orc Hunter (That is, an Orc who hunts)

He started out as a lowly scavenger before being chosen to act as a reluctant "goblin" footsoldier.  Surviving that, he worked his way into the ranks of the "nightseeker" scouts and eventually became a ranger-like "black hunter".  He is simply referred to as "Hey, you!" or "Black Hunter", since, like most orcs, he isn't worthy of having a name.

Relationships: There's an Orc whose arm I took (and ate) that wants me dead (and probably eaten).

Beliefs: You should never do what you can get somebody else to do for you.  I will build a powerful warband to do my bidding.  I will find strong lieutenants to start my warband!

Instincts: Always hide from sudden, unexpected sounds.  Always be Inconspicuous.  Always loot the corpses.

Notes: Black Hunter's Perception (aka intelligence) and Will (aka charisma) are pretty average, but his Agility and Speed make him dexterous and graceful (in a horrible orcish way).  His Power (aka strength) and Forte (aka toughness) are pretty good as well.

His Reflexes make him pretty quick in combat and his Steel gives him the nerves of a professional soldier.  His Health (aka constitution) a little above average.  He has a Mortal Wound level of 10.  Black Hunter has had it pretty easy for a lowborn Orc (which isn't saying much) and his burning Orcish Hatred still simmers pretty far below the surface.  His Hesitation is such that he takes a bit longer than he'd like to recover from suprise and shock.

His Circles notes that he only has a very loose network of aquaintances from his life and his Resources leaves him currently destitute.

His skills give him the abilities he needs to travel across the land and avoid notice, though he's most competent sneaking around with his bow.  Black Bile Poison Training allows him to vomit poisonous bile onto his weapons, making them that much more dangerous.

For gear, he mostly owns only what he can carry with him, and those things that allow him to survive on his excursions.

His traits reveal that like all Orcs, he's a horny, hideously deformed, cannabalistic freak with deadly fangs and claws who is allergic to the sun, but can see in the dark and speak the evil language shared by Trolls, Great Wolves, and some other vile creatures.  On a personal level, he instinctively obeys the crack of a whip, he has learned to hide from his brutal overseers (and their whips), he can lead a charge bravely (or at least less cowardly), he has a tendency to steal and is good at scavenging what he needs from his surroundings, and he runs extra fast when fleeing in terror.

There's an NPC Orc (with one arm) out to get him.

His Beliefs show him to be the sort to get others to do things for him, and he's going to try to make sure he has a ready supply of Orcs for just that purpose.  Acting upon these Beliefs will earn him "Artha", the "hero point" of Burning Wheel.

His instincts are the ways he reacts automatically to certain situations, for better or worse.  So while he'll always have a chance to hide when a loud noise approaches, he may embarrass himself by hiding from a squealing child or the like.  If his Instincts cause trouble for him, he also gets more Artha.
