The making of a play by forum game. House rules, setup, and more. Updated

For the most part my pbf is going to be standard.  28 point buy, wealth by level, character's starting at lvl 4.

Odd-Even Hit Points
Many pbfs use half hit points.  Personally I find that the lower the player's hit points, the more chance of someone just randomly dying from a critical hit.  Also I don't think its quite fair, so I am going with average hit points, by means of odd levels giving half +1 hit points and even levels giving half  hit points.  IE.  A 3rd level wizard gets 4 hp 1st level, 2hp at 2nd, 3hp at 3rd.

Last Gasp of Breath
I don't like killing characters, I don't really like people having to make new characters, and I don't like people thinking they can ressurect any time they reach a bad end.  With all this in mind, things are going to be harsh to those who don't protect themselves.  To balance that out, characters don't die until 1 full round after reaching -10, giving plenty of time for their allies to provide magical healing to prevent the character's death.  Any character who reaches -10 is fatigued until they have time to rest and recover from the trauma they experienced.
