Noble Armada Expanded Edition Rulebook

Published: 2/26/2004 by ArtMonkey
A starship miniatures battle game set in my favoritest of settings, Fading Suns!

"Noble Armada", often referred to as a game of "broadsides and boarding actions" is Holistic Design Inc's starship miniatures battle game, and is designed to be fully compatible with HDI's space-fantasy RPG, "Fading Suns".

The setting of both games is the distant future, where an amazing, high-tech republic, ala Star Wars or Star Trek, has collapsed under its own weight and the scattered star systems have fallen into a new dark age.  The politically powerful, anti-technology Universal Church has relegated the common man to a simple life of working the fields, while the formerly powerless nobility have risen up to rule the desperate populace, forcing them into serfdom, and the old mega-corporations have banded together to form guilds, protecting them from either of those fates.

The cover of the book is attractive (and certainly better than the first edition) and features images of ships based off of the (still) pending PC game of the same name.  The interior art varies in style and quality, but is, overall, good.

The book retails for $25
